found debris draining water heater

When draining water heater white chunks came out and anode rod eaten away in places.new 2014 hideout 2 months old camped twice 6 days total.I am thinking I should request that water heater be relaced as do not know how long like this.Iused water filter on intake.I would like your opinions.

Yep, your anode is working. Be worried if you don't see anything.

The "stuff" you see is from the water quality where you hook up. The anode is doing its job.

That is normal. I always get a lot of calcium out of my water heater. I flush mine once a year when I winterize.
