Scary. Where were the safety cables connected. They must have done their job.

but I remember the guy coming on here and asking, "they want $300 to install my baseplate. can't I do it myself and save money? after all, it is just a couple of bolts to fasten the whatchamacalit to the thingamabob."

Should have hooked the baseplate to the oil filter. It looks still intact.

Agree with above poster. I don't think base plate was properly installed or badly designed. My money is on not installed correctly.

Looks like the tow bar was mounted to the bumper. Those frame closings are how the energy absorbing bumper mounts.

I saw one like that. The guy said he had to stop short and when the car brake came on it ripped the front of the car off. They had it on a car dolly for the rest of their trip.

Any idea what kind of vehicle that is............or was?
