Fresh Water Always Reads Full

same old story. my fresh water monitor always reads full. i cut the ground wire at the tank and connected to chassis and it still reads full so i assume its not a ground wire. all my wires connect to each other with the black gray and fresh running in line to the monitor i guess. i had the panel replaced and it still did it. soooo, anyone have any ideas on what to do etc? thank you.
  • Maybe the tank needs cleaning. Some vinegar in the water, go down the road, drain, rinse. Might work.
  • most those gauges don,t work or are not right in the reading. the sensors inside the tank get oxidized .there is a company who makes good one,s some body will chime in with the name ,or rv tank sensors.

thank you for the helpful insight
  • Our RV has a tap on the back of the freshwater tank for draining. I attached a three foot length of clear tubing to the tap and led it up and over something under the floor. When I open the tap, I can see the water level in the tube. It doesn't have to be electronic to work - and it may work better than electronics.
