Fresh water docking station leak

Hey guys,

I have a Vengeance 306V Fifth-Wheel toyhauler. We have recently discovered a leak in the docking station, where the fresh water hose goes in and where the outside shower is located. I don't think it's a valve issue, but instead, my husband thinks we need to replace the entire docking station.

Does anyone know if/where to buy one? I know it's siliconed in, but I think if we can replace it ourselves, we can make it work. Any help would be appreciated.

The water has actually leaked in through and has saturated our carpet in the living room. Makes walking from the bedroom to the toy hauler PRETTTYYY uncomfortable.
  • When hooked to city water if the back flow preventer fails to properly function in the water pump, water can flow back through the pump and fill the fresh water storage tank to over flowing. If your lucky the water will only come out of the overflow and drain out on the ground. If not the water will leak inside the RV.
  • I think it would be a nightmare to replace the whole thing.

    Find out what is leaking.

Here is what the back of mine looks like.

    PS
what's the deal with " if the pump is bad, the water tank will overflow" Please explain.
  • I also use a 90 degree brass connection that I attach to the outlet AND THEN attach the hose. This puts less strain on the docking station connection and also prevents the hose from kinking.
  • Check the outside shower faucet, if its not winterized properly it's guaranteed to freeze and crack.
  • I suspect that docking stations are pretty much just boxes with the attachments screwed into them. Try to see the back of the box where the water lines attach to the fittings on the box. If not the water attachments should be attached with screws that can be remove to allow you to get to the back of the connection. They could be leaking. Your water pump could also be bad allowing water to overfill your freshwater holding tank.
  • Many times it will be the connections they use a metal band that is compressed and they sometimes are bad, or the connector to the valves, try to locate the actual leak before you start purchasing parts, it might just be a loose fitting that can be tightened by hand.
