I do have a gravity fill. I guess I am lucky that the water was oozing out the small vent hole of the fresh water tank. Glad I didn't come back to water inside the trailer. I usually turn off the water when I leave my site but I don't always remember.
I will be driving about 250 miles tomorrow to get halfway home. I will use the pump until tomorrow morning and then maybe try city water again when I get to the next stop. Maybe whatever debris is causing the issue will vibrate loose on the drive.
Water shouldn't get to inside of trailer when/if fresh water tank overflows..........overflow line should go to ground.
That is how I know when to stop filling my tank :B
The pump internal check valve (just a diaphragm) can stick open from calcium/mineral deposits. Using the pump usually will clean them up.....opening pump and manually cleaning it off will work.
My pump is a pain to get to so I bought a barbed in-line check valve and installed it in pump suction line several years ago. No more overfilling tank.....unless I do it.
