Prior to that, I had a Rubbermaid bin that fit in the compartment under the RV....it also allowed me a place to put some tools and fittings, as well as the water filter.
This is what I use to store two 25' freshwater hoses, fill nozzle, and pressure reducer.
It's short enough in height that it fits through either of the main outside compartment doors (one accesses the under bed area, and one accesses the under dinette seat area. - tahiti16ExplorerOne you might try for the memory problem is lay the hose out in the sun for a while before you roll it up the next time. This has helped with that issue for me with both hoses and cords.
- Chris3ExplorerI coil three of my hoses and hang them in the street side propane locker with cords from the tank handle. Chris
- down_homeExplorer III have a bunch of hoses in one compartment. We found no convenient way other than to coil the hoses and screw the ends together. I have one fifty foot hose, seldom used. I have two twenty five footers, hardly ever used, and three or four or more smaller ones. I end up using the other smaller hoses stored in the wet bay almost all the time. They are lighter and more convenient. I have some many though because the cheap ends start leaking and I buy another. Maybe this trip I will throw some of them out or give them away or buy a box of hose ends. If you need a hose, I'll give you two or three.
- Chevyman2006ExplorerOne of my biggest issues now is that the hose has developed memory bends in it. That makes it nearly impossible to coil it and keep it that way.
That's why I'm looking for something to help contain it.
Thinking maybe one of those short 3 gallon buckets might work and take up less space than a 5 gallon bucket. - OkSixpackExplorerI use a bag used for carrying cowboy ropes. I have a black one for hoses used for cleaning the tanks, and a white one for drinking water hoses. Extra extension cords fit in great too.
Jim - DakzukiExplorer IIMy hoses are coiled with Velcro straps keep them that way. I have a velcro strap hanger on the end of one bin screwed to the wall that the hoses are hung from. Under them is a small tub I keep the extra plumbing bits in. All of it is stored in a bin I keep food grade stuff in (outdoor cooking gear, etc). All the dirty stuff lives in bins to keep dirty stuff in. No need to get the trots from poor hose hygiene while on vacation.
- revumpExplorerCW has hangers for power cords and hoses. I use one for my hose. I can coil it up on the ground and slip the hanger through it. Then, I can handle it for storage.

I did this with a slight modification. Instead of cutting it in half I did 1/3 and 2/3. I kept them coiled in a bucket & stored it under the dinette.
Could cut it in half and install new ends (brass one...not those cheap plastic junk). Two 25' hoses are easier to coil up/stow. Plus usually only need one to hook up water.
