Austin is getting those people, since they seem to have turned LA and Miami into their idea of "paradise", they have their dibs on Austin. It isn't uncommon for someone to try brake-checking my rig, either by misjudging distance or hoping for some insurance money.
One of the best suggestions on this forum was to buy and use a dash cam. I've already had to put footage from it onto YouTube due to what it recorded. A lot of the big rig drivers I know have a complete system in place (rear view, sides, two in front) so if someone does try a swoop and squat, it gets recorded in meticulous detail, with GPS tracking, speed, acceleration, and so on.
