FRIG coils freezing up?

When mine started to frost up I tested the door seals with a $1 bill and found an area that it slipped through very easily. To close the gap I removed the black door latch and ground about .060 of the bottom of the latch and re installed. It was a lot easier and cheaper than replacing the seals.

You need to defrost the fridge periodically, the way we used to have to do it from the 1940s through 1960s before "frost free" (actually periodically hidden defrosting) refrigerators became the norm for residential sales.

Actually, more recently, since most "dorm" and "bar" fridges are not self defrosting, nor was the Eastern European refrigerator supplied with my $4500 per month luxury apartment in Beijing, at the beginning of the 21st century.

You've gotten to accustomed to a luxury. Defrost your fridge when it frosts up, takes no more than a couple hours.

If none of the above, then somebody's standing there with the door open, "browsing".

Freezing from right to left..cause right side is coolest due to ammonia/hydrogen mix as it flows to the left

Thermostat setting on 7.....try going down to 6 and check temps after 24 hrs.
Thermister in clip on right fin---mid position?

Door gaskets.....paper bill test.
Lay a bill over gasket in different areas and close door then pull bill out.......should be resistance otherwise gaskets are not sealing and allowing warm air into fridge (test freezer and food section compartments.

If gaskets are not sealing.......

Place a ball of cotton under gasket in each corner.
Then warm gasket with hair dryer (takes a while....but get it as warm as you can overall/all around)
Then close door and let gasket cool. After resetting gasket remove cotton balls from corners.

So I guess we are talking about the fins, not the coils...?

If that is on the inside frige compartment, I solved all those issues by installing a 12V computer fan in there.
