Chance, It might not work. On one piece or the other the adhesive may be on the wrong side. In such case you’re going to need to find an alternative way to attach one of the pieces. Small screw, nail, or something similar.
I used 4 small pieces black adhesive Velcro: 2 hook; 2 loop.
Cleaned the flat plastic surfaces with a spray of windex. Stuck hooks to one side, loops to the other side.
Pressed them together.
Done
