I was going to say - "What ever the filler cap says".
Unless the filler cap says otherwise it is 87 octane. All vehicles that have a fuel requirement different from regular unleaded fuel will be clearly labeled at the filler. - camperforlifeExplorerUnless the filler cap says otherwise it is 87 octane. - Dave_H_MExplorer III yanked that flex fuel emblem off the back of my F250 and it now resides on the cowl of my Kawasaki Z turn mower just for grins.
If you use the cheapest fuel available it will be probably E85 and it will probably go thru that sucker like grass thru a goose. :B - beemerphile1ExplorerRental vehicle? Use the cheapest fuel they can find.
- MartynNomadBig difference between a Ford Flex - which is a Ford Crossover model - and a Flex Fuel vehicle. The Ford Flex comes with three flavors of V6 engines.
Looking at Ford's specs I do not see it as being able to use anything other than gasoline - 35 of their models do have the capability but the Flex is not one of them.
A Flex Fuel vehicle is one which can use Ethanol as an alternative to gasoline. - wbwoodExplorerIt probably says "Unleaded Fuel Only" on the gauge or where you put the gas in. I would go with 87 octane.
