Actually, the moon was pretty impressive last night. I stepped outside of the trailer to let the dog potty (drive way camp), and it was bright as day almost. I could even see my shadow clearly. It was cold as an iceberg, but skies were perfectly clear. Very impressive. Can't wait till tonight.
We're also in the country where we can turn off all lights and see actual "dark". But for you folks who live under street lights, you'd be surprised how bright it actually is at night when there's no street lights, porch lights, or outside camper lights on.
I can look across the field behind or in front of the house, and see the tree lines pretty clear, almost 1/2 mile away. I can see coyotes in the fields sometimes... all without artificial light.
