Quite a few years ago I was with my buddy at a metal/scrap yard picking up some steel angle. The yard owned a truck painted the exact same green/silver scheme as my buddy's truck. One of the yard workers jumped into what he thought was the yard's truck to go get lunch...it wasn't the yard's truck. We sat and waited for him to get back with my buddies truck then laughed about it when he got back. I expect a similar situation here. Maybe one of the flunkies was told to put plates on it and just ripped the old plates off and threw them in the trash not knowing nay better?
