Not just Florida , it happens everywhere . Mistakes . I was an automobile auctioneer in six states , I drove a route and many days we would sell 600 , up to 2400 autos , RVs ,boats . The people checking autos in and out made $7.50 per hour . What sounds like a BIG DEAL to you would not be a big deal to a large dealership or auction chain . Mistakes are the cost of doing business . Myself I have never checked a VIN on any purchase .
