No, but yes. I bought a cheap $25 digital thermostat at Walmart. It will control heat and AC, they all kind of do so it can use many wires. But you only have to connect the two wires to your thermostat and put batteries in. It's a 20 minute job and 18 of those minutes are unscrewing the old thermostat and making sure the new thermostat is mounted level so it looks good.
Edit: Like Path1 said take the thermostat off the wall and disconnect the wires. If the fan stops and starts as you connect and disconnect the wires then you have a bad thermostat.
If the fan keeps running even with the wires disconnected then you have a bad AC relay. Find it and smack it on the back with a screwdriver handle. If the fan starts working normally then you know you need a new relay as it will fail again soon.
