If your reason for doing all of this is to keep the battery from running down when you tow your car, a lot of us have solved this problem more simply just by running a charge line through the harness so that your car battery is being charged from the motorhome alternator while you're towing. This eliminates the need for any type of fuse cutoff switch whatsoever. We just finished a 5500 mile trip from coast to coast and back again and never had a problem with our car battery running down. Ours is a 2013 Honda CRV with the factory GPS so it definitely would run the battery down without the charge line. It's a pretty simple fix.

I thought about that but also mine wilk rack on the miles if I don't pull the fuse.
