Future Trips!!

We never book, we just go when we are ready to go.
Oregon coast in Feb.or March than the last of April go to Reno to Bishop and lone Pine Ca. and over to Death valley and than home.
Mid Sept. go to Idaho, Montana,Wyoming and to South Dakota than back home. This is what we have planed, but the best made plans sometimes change ( thing happen ):)

Probably not good for some, but we live in town of less than a thousand and crime in this remote area is very low. No one here knows where I live any way. The neighbors watch and check on the house. Good travels to you.

Just out of curiosity, is it wise to give exact dates that you will be away from your home? Ours was broken into when we were gone, but it was probably because the Motorhome was not in the driveway. Anyhow, the alarm system made them leave in a hurry.

Heading out Nov 27 in our first full year of retirement. First stop SW NE for thanksgiving with family. Then on to TX with stops at state parks and Austin. Will be at Ancient Oaks RV in Rockport by the 15th and back home in April. Dw wants restock the pantry so will be growing a big garden. Will make some 3-5 day trips to Lakes Merrit, McConaughy, Glendo,Oahe. But the one I am really interested in is a week at a remote fishing lodge on Kodiak island.

I'm trying to plan our trip to the Natchez, MS area during the Christmas holidays. I have two weeks off and don't expect this area to be overrun so I'm not urgently making reservations...just tryig to figure out what all to see & do in the area. The Natchez SP looks nice and has the majority of sites avaiable. I'm thinking of making it out base and taking day trips from there to Vicksburg and Alexandria, LA from there.

I wanted to do this trip last year for our 40th anniversary but DH had to have surgery(again!)so am keeping my fingers crossed for this year. He's having an echocardiogram this Wed on his carotid artery that he had cleaned out 2 yrs ago so I'm praying there isn't any scar tissue this time like last year thus the repeated surgery.

Next June we're planning on taking my 94 YO MIL to MS for a family reuion on her Grandmother's side. The date of the reunion is actually on her 95th birthday! Overall she is in good health, she just uses a walker, so if the Lord is willing for us to go, that is the plan.

We're so excited that we just received the notice that our seasonal sites is ours for the 2014 season. Does that count?

Let's see, snowbirding trip coming up in January 2014.

-January 2014: Someplace in Florida leading up to the 29th.
-January 29: Riverside RV Resort in Arcadia, FL for a week.
-February 5: Highland Hammock State Park, Sebring, FL
-February 10: Long Point Park CG, Melbourne/Sebastian, FL
-February 13: Lake Louisa SP, Clermont, FL
-February 15: Rock Crusher Canyon RV Park, Crystal River, FL for a month.

We always camp at a Michigan SP somewhere along Lake Michigan a couple of times each summer and will reserve when the 6 month period starts.

Will likely take a 2+ week trip in July/August into the U.P. of Michigan or possibly go up into Ontario as we haven't done that in a long time. I'd like to do the Lake Superior round trip.

Thanksgiving at San Diego. Quartzite in January. Lake Havasu in Febuary. I wish we were retired so we could camp more!

A week and a half in late March...nothing else for sure yet.

Headed to Middlebury IN in January, Sportscoach factory, then on to Quartzsite for the RV Show. Nothing booked, probably boondock. Then we are booked at the Refuge Golf and Spa Resort in Lake Havasu City for the month of February ... all the golf we can play. We will then head to San Antonio and Galveston and travel the Gulf coast, New Orleans, Biloxi, Navarre Beach FL and then up to Atlanta to the FMCA Convention in Perry GA middle of March. Then to Myrtle Beach, see relatives, then up to Charlotte to see friends. A stop in State College PA to see more relatives and finally home to Boston for April Fools Day. Hopefully the snow is gone! We can't wait!
