Thanks for all the input. In the end I guess I cheated them out of $5. They billed my card $5 for a parking permit but we had 2 vehicles, 1 in each site. And Im not crying over the $5 just felt kind of blind sided. Ive never paid for a campsite and a parking permit. My daughter and her friends got there a few hours before my wife and I did. She called me and said the park attendant needed a credit card on record, but let her go on in to set up so I could handle it when I got in. After my questioning about the need of the card and was told nothing would be charged if we didnt destroy anything I let them have it. We had a pleasant chat, they gave me a map and a permit and nothing was said about the permit costing more than site fees. First time Ive heard of that, weve been camping for many years. Mostly in SC and NC, first time to GA. Most of the local Corp of Engineer campgrounds we use let you have 3 cars per site, SC St parks are 2; none charge a parking permit fee.
We have always paid it when we signed in.
