GA State Parks charge fee for parking pass with campsite

Charging day use fees at state-owned parks? How are these parks funded, with tax monies?

I understand camping fees, there are additional expenses to camping. But charging fees to drive in and look at scenery...nonsense!

It is 'acceptable' because we accept it.
