Garmin RV 760LMT

so far I'm more than satisfied with the 760. has a few quircks but better than many others I've tried.

With our new 2015 denali, I favor the onstar directions. a quick call and route is downloaded, even a rv friendly route.

And the wireless backup camera:
1) is the only one I've seen that really works as a wireless unit. they got it right and let you mount the transmitter on the trailer tongue
2) the camera has a good wide angle view w/o distortion
3) you can turn on and off the guidance lines
4) you can calibrate the guidance lines to your setup
5) works well at night
6) easy to wire as either a backup camera or a always on rear view camera on the back of the trailer.

my opinion, the remote camera optiom makes it the only aftermarket gps to buy.

I just got the Garmin Nuvicam and the BC30 backup camera. It costs a bit more but I like that it also has a dash cam recorder so all in one device I have a dash cam, a gps, and a backup camera.

I guess it depends on your location but I've hat about 5 different Garmin gps's and they've all been great and never given me bad directions. I think they actually all still work but I just want the new features.

I would not buy my 760LMT again. I have not used the camera. I have had way too many screw ups over the last couple years. Locked up in downtown Phoenix. This issue is supposed to be solved by an update to firmware/software. It hasn't locked up since. But it will still get stuck saying "traffic moving freely" to the point of absurdity.

But the worst is the occasional bad directions. No unpaved roads selected but continues to navigate me to unpaved roads (three occasions last month). Including directions to "turn onto the unpaved road." And even though the 8'3 width and 25' length is inputted, has directed me onto roads that resemble Jeep trail. More than once has told me to turn onto road I'm already traveling on.

Other than my basic disgust for littering it would have been tossed out the window in a grumpy moment!

I simply do not feel I can trust the RV features at all (especially if I were relying on it for tunnel clearance). So I basically back up the Garmin with ordinary maps, or google navigation. Yes the RV business database has been useful. But in general wish I had just decided to toss in my smaller Garmin I carry in my truck. As long as it continues to function, I'll carry it in the RV-always available for more mediocre usefulness.

I'd give it 2 (out of 5) stars.

I have a Garmin 760LMT and the BC-20 integrated back up camera. The combo works well. Not having an additional monitor for the back up camera is a nice feature

No actually it means Recreational Vehicle. Has special routing options for RV's, and a large CG database built in. Available with or without the rear camera.

Too funny, I wanted to throw a borrowed TT out the window. I love the Garmin interface.

A few weeks ago I had a address I wanted it to find and it couldn't. I called Garmin and it took their tech 3 trys to figure out how to enter the data to make it map correctly.

I have another model of Garmin GPS, and so far it is reliable. L=Lifetime M ap and T raffic updates.

I guess the RV is for rear view?

I bought mine through Wal Mart, and they offered a $25 discount on your first purchase if you also applied for a credit card, free shipping to my local store, ect. It was a pretty good price as well.
