I recently worked on my son's refrigerator. Bottom freezer, water and ice in door. The ice maker lasted just over a year. I looked at the reviews which were terrible and noticed when ordering a new $60 ice maker that 4600 had been sold by just that site.
People on the reviews said they have had a tech out three times to replace the ice maker and they keep breaking. The one I just put in only lasted two weeks so we gave up and he buys bags of ice to fill the tray. That's what we get for $1200 and a year old. Junk.
