I used to work at the GE plant in Erie until I got drafted. You will find that through out the years GE outsourced the appliance section to several overseas companies like LG, Samsung, and several others, some were good some were bad. You have to check the label before you purchase it to see where it was made. I have a GE washer and dryer that are rebranded Samsung and have never had a problem with them. Had a GE stove that was a rebranded LG, nothing but problems.
