Generator question

I didn't bother to tell the DW when I bought my two Hondas from Wise. They just kind of showed up at the door. They are worth every penny.

Be happy with Wisesales price and free shipping. In my part of the world a EU2000 is $1399.00 + $50 for PDI. Wisesales will ship here but the freight cost makes it not worth it. Also, Honda must have a strict pricing policy as all the dealers I have checked with have the exact same price.

I looked at the 3000 but for the remote start to work you have to leave the key in and turned on. Killed it for me.

I have the Honda twins. Perfect for us. I bought the 2000 several years ago and just a couple weeks ago bought the Companion and the harness as we are having one heck of a heat wave.

The last two camping trips we ran the AC from about 3 pm to 7 pm. It was wonderful. I thought about the extended run gas kit but now I don't need it knowing I can get at least 4 hours on full throttle.

Then in the morning I only start one of them for my toaster!!

And I only take one when I take my TC as it has no AC so just for battery charging.

Buy the hour meters and the anti theft handles.

Honda 3000 is a great generator but heavy to load/unload.

Have you looked at the Yamaha 2000's ?

Sounds like you have your mind made up on the Honda. I did too until I saw the Champion 2000s on sale for $499 a piece at the local Rural King.
I can run everything as well as the a/c and they purr like fat cats. Just to add, I cannot afford to buy junk, and I wouldn't have bought the Champions if I thought they were.

I had a Honda EU2000 and mine wasn't trouble free. But it was all my fault. I let it sit for a year with gas in it without running it and the repair bill was about $180. So make sure you don't do that.

I actually think the combo of two of these is the best thing since sliced bread. You only need both running to power your air conditioners and in most of my camping I don't use the AC's. So 90% of my generator time would just be running one at a time. My current DP has a 7500 kw Diesel genset, and most of the time I'm using it all it's needed for is to charge the batteries. I have a 2000 watt inverter that runs everything but the AC's so all I need is battery power most of the time. It's a huge waste to run a 7500kw generator just to charge batteries.

Wise sales is hard to beat.

I'm convinced the EU2000 is cheaper OVER THE LONG RUN. I bought my EU2000 in 2004, making it about 9 years old. It still runs like new and has been trouble free after many, many hours of use. I know I can always count on it.

Having said that, it still depends on your intended use. If you have very occasional usage planned, the Champion 2000 watt inverter genny has a big following and is quite a bit cheaper. If you plan on heavy usage, the Honda might pay off over the long haul.
