I don't know where you got the 53db at a distance of 23' from.
On Champion Power Equipments web site their Model #73534i 2000W inverter generator has a db rating of 68db at 23 feet and a dry weight of 48.5 lbs
Compare this to the Honda 2000's
59db at rated load at 9 feet and a dry weight of 46.3 lbs.
Noise and weight wise Honda is surely better.
Looks like the Champion will run longer on a gallon of gas probably due to the fact it has a 80cc engine verses the Honda 98.5cc.
Price wise Champion wins hands down.
Which would you want in the campsite next to you?????
