Does anyone know which big-box store is best to buy a champion generator? I am at Duke cancer center for a doctor's appointment this morning and headed back to the coast to get my house finished ready...

#2 You will probably want a larger generator for your AC, I would say 3400 watt is safer.
#3 I love my Champion (though its not an inverter) and highly respect the brand.
