Does anyone know which big-box store is best to buy a champion generator? I am at Duke cancer center for a doctor's appointment this morning and headed back to the coast to get my house finished ready...

That is my issue with the bigger unit... Moving them around. Why I sold my Yamaha 2800I and got a Champ 2000. Lighter and easier to move. I'm old, things get heavier as you get older. Just how it works.
I actually had the Champion parallel kit on my Amazon wishlist and picked it up for $17.92 1 year ago. It pays to just monitor those things for items you aren't in a rush for.
Also, per Cabelas, you need to watch for their sales. I got both of my Champion 2000W Inverter gens for $399 on sale but bought them roughly 3 years apart. Those were for new in box, not refurbished. I might have had a coupon for the first purchase though to get it at that price.
