Geny torsion hitch head

I'm watching velocity TV and see an infomercial for this hitch head from GENY. Tried doing some reasearch on it but there's not many reviews. Anyone out there have one? Worth the $500 cost?

  • The way I read the website, you would need to purchase the "hitch" which is a shank and a double ball (double ball would not be used) for about $250-$300. Then you would need to purchase the WD kit (which is a normal round bar kit) for about $400. Then you would need the add on sway friction sway control bar for $70. That all adds up to about $800 and for that amount of money you can purchase a much better, tried and proven hitch like the Equal-i-zer, Reese "Strait Line", Blue OX "Sway Pro" or many others.

That one looks to me to be a product that tries to solve a problem for commercial users that have a lot of different heavy duty trucks that pull trailers that do not need weight distribution and can use the hitch for easy height adjustments for the different vehicles. Recreational users like us usually do not need to adjust the height of the ball once it is set up for our particular trailer.

Personally, I would look elsewhere for a hitch.
