We usually spend a week or two at Crooked River State Park, St Marys, GA just a few miles from the FL border off I-95 on our way to FL. There's a few private parks there as well that should have monthly sites, although next winter may already be booked up. Dick is right though, leave your Speedo at home... ;)

The northern part of the trip might be your biggest problem if the weather should turn bad.

Yes you will need to like it cool; 50's to 70 would be typical but sub freezing occasionally. But you will get less crowding and more available sites. Lots of really nice USACE sites. We like northern, inland FL for same reasons.

We are from Western NY and feel your pain! We will be snowbirds for the first time this coming winter. We looked at South Carolina and Georgia and ended up booking in Florida. Our thoughts were that if we were going to spend the money to get out of Western NY....to get out of the snow...I wasn't going to deal with winterizing/summerizing/winterizing/summerizing. We wanted WARM!!! So we're going down by Cocoa Beach area. Not one day below 45 degrees last winter.

Something to ponder: until we went south of Ocala, FL - we spent a lot of time semi-winterizing when a cold snap would go through. Now hopefully your Class C has enclosed tanks and valves - ours didn't (don't forget that your low point drains are usually exposed to the cold). But after doing that a few times, we headed south. Problem solved :-)

You've gotten some good input. Feb here in Ga can be quite unpredictable.

We have been going camping for the past 3 years or so, in Jan, to Norther Florida (Cedar Key). First year, I thought.. WTH - it's Florida.. Took only a light jacket! HOLY ****. Next year I took my battery operated heated winter coat. And needed it.

If you want guaranteed warm, better head further south than southern Ga.

McIntosh Lake RV Park in Townsend, Georgia. We have stopped there a few times passing through but some people do winter there.

Stephen Foster State Park will not be bathing suit weatherbut shirt sleeves usually fine.
Laura Walker State Park (same area and same weather)

Coastal:
Jekyll SP OK in winter but bugs in summer. Crowded sometimes
Blythe Island Regional Park - FHU and cable. They have a section esp for snowbirds
