Glad you finally found a doctor that understood infections. My doctor has taken on a lot of these kinds of cases. I agree with your point to not put off trips and especially surgery. I knew one guy that needed a replacement for years then developed serious heart issues and no doctor would touch doing the joint replacement.
For people on Medicare and the likes have even more reasons to get surgery done. It was in the news today and one guy that I know just last week had to watch his wife be turned away from a cancer clinic because Medicare max payment was below the medicine cost.
So anyone that is not a cash customer I suggest you get needed joint replacement surgery done now. Joint replacement is moving into the 'elective' surgery department it seems to lower health care cost in the USA today and going forward. There is only one way to cut health care cost in a meaningful way and that is to cut services rendered. The medical industry will cut services rendered when they are paid below their costs it seems.
We have to address health care costs for sure. Which there was a better way.
