Every day I lose a little more faith in our medical system. They are making the patient more and more responsible for things they know nothing about. Surely, simple tests could have uncovered the infection much sooner. Like others have said, unfortunately the only safety is in numbers, and those numbers are cash and the ability to visit multiple doctors if you feel something is amiss. It shouldn't be this way, but it is, and it is only going to get worse. My prayers are with you that the infection will be treated and you will recover with no damage and a proper knee replacement can be completed without issues. Then the last year and 1/2 will be nothing but a bad memory in the rearview mirror and you are once again able to get out and enjoy.
