These people experienced total losses with their boats. The people that did take some precautions had less or no damage. My boat insurance rate went up a lot, and I live on the west coast. No explaination needed or apology either. Insurance companies are in business to make money, not loose money so premiums go up based on risk percentage. How it works. far as getting out, I'm not there anyway. If I was and could not physically leave with my RV, I'd catch a plane and leave it. It's only a material possession, not my life.
