It sounds like the Onan has an "Electric End" only problem.
To this end, look up "Electric Motor Repair" and call some until you find one that will take on the unit. Unfortunately, if it is like the other RV installations I have seen recently, it may be difficult to even diagnose while it is in place. Then, ask them if they can help you remove it. If that does not work, try to find a nearby and friendly shop that can help you remove it so it can be carried to the motor shop.
If you need to run it out of the camper, just buy a spare regulator and some LP hose. Then pull one of your LP tanks to run it. With a 2.5K$us budget, you have a lot of room to break even.
No AC out is usually a simple problem. (In older Onans, it can be simple but expensive but still less than new.)
Installing any Honda that was not built to be an RV unit, may be a serious undertaking.
