Boat dealers around here do that all the time. There is a special rack built in the truck. They go to the factory and they load the boat with an overhead crane. Then with a bolt on hitch on the back of one boat they double tow two more. This way they can transport three boats at one time. It has to be unloaded with an overhead lift of some kind. Most dealers have an A-frame with a winch on it to unload. Even the boats brought in with a transporter have to be unloaded with the overhead lift.
Now all the OP needs is a way to haul the A-frame. And set it up. - BobboExplorer IIII watched a guy load an MG Midget car into the bed of his pickup truck, then hook his TT up to the ball at the back of his truck. Actually watched him load the car. A couple of days earlier, he had run out of gas in the MG, and I gave him a gallon of gas to get it to the station. The only payment I asked was to be allowed to watch the loading process. Two ramps and a 5,000 pound electric winch bolted to the bed of the truck, with tie down points through the bed into the truck frame. Looked funny when loaded.
- Dog_FolksExplorer III have sen this type of set up unloaded with ramps and electric winch.
Really, It was in the Keys!! - JnJnKatiebugExplorerBoat dealers around here do that all the time. There is a special rack built in the truck. What would ever make you think it is not photoshop?
If this is not photoshop I would like to know what system he uses to get the boat on and off the truck...!! - loulou57ExplorerIf this is not photoshop I would like to know what system he uses to get the boat on and off the truck...!!
- calamusExplorerI tandem towed a 1981 prowler 24' and a 18' Nitro bass boat with a 1997 f-150 with the 4.6L not the 5.4 and it was a manual transmission, did that for 5 years before we upgraded to a diesel and a 5th wheel just dont park where you have to back up.
- goducks10ExplorerIf you have an Eco Boost you can haul/tow anything.:)
Since Ford came out with the Eco Boost I'm surprised they're still making F250/350's. - azrvingExplorerAbsolutely, in fact the dually is overkill.
