Peace of mind is worth more than the $166 dollars you worry about. Take it as lesson learned and move on.
.8 hours labor is probably less time than it would have taken me to do the fan belt change, my hands remained clean and I didn't risk smashing my finger. If I want to do it different next time, I have that option.
