As an appliance repairman, it doesn't take me nearly as long to perform a common task as it did when I was learning. The repair cost is usually based on the amount of time the job "should" take. Conversely, I have sometimes had to "eat" the extra cost of a job that takes longer than normal. It all comes out in the end. I agree with others who have said, try for forget the bad experiences and linger on the beautiful ones.
