OP your right, with a DC system if anything is out of adjustment you risk destroying something.
My best friend was standing by about 15 ft away directing me when my DC sway control grenaded. Thankfully he wasn't hurt and no pieces went flying. It is incredible how much pressure the DC sway control system puts on the hitch components.
For me, its is going to be a standard WD hitch and dual friction sway control bars.
Dialed in, the standard WD hitch does what it needs to do, distribute weight, and the friction sway control does what it needs to do, eliminate/minimize wiggle from passing vehicles.
If you have a sway problem, fix the reason for sway, don't try to put a bandaid on it.
