My best friend was standing by about 15 ft away directing me when my DC sway control grenaded. Thankfully he wasn't hurt and no pieces went flying. It is incredible how much pressure the DC sway control system puts on the hitch components.
Yeh, a couple of the neighbor kids (teenagers) were helping me back it in when one yelled I dropped a bar. I walked back and seen where the metal was torn a way. He was there with his mouth left open, probably thinking what could had happened. Well thank god no one got hurt but I'm not going to give it a second time to try again.
