Easy, since the burner is cast iron, it is seasoned. Just scrape.
The burner tube is the only thing that requires any real work. Once a year take it out and give it a good scrub to keep the gunk from building up on the holes. Lots of theories on how to best do it. I like the "pull the burner tube and soak it for a while and then scrub with a green kitchen pad" method. I also once had to drill out some of the holes because they were so gummed up due to laziness :) now I clean it regularly.
