I don't like the ground shaking under me, about the most helpless feeling there is.
I've been in a few hurricanes but a guy can always seek shelter and hunker down. You just have to be far enough away from the sea so the surge doesn't get 'ya.
There's really no good solution for being hit by a tornado. If the weather sirens go off and I can see the twister on radar, we hunker down in the concrete basement. As long as the first floor doesn't fall in, we'd make it. It would be a b(*^# to come up and see the house gone.
