Yep. quakes are easier, except for those darned aftershocks that slap you upside your head about the time you think everything is over. We worked to help Hurricane Katrina survivors and when we heard their stories and about their losses, we said "Bring on those DRY California shakers anytime!"
Problem with Kalifornia shakes is, at some point the State will split at the San Andreas fault and slide into the Ocean... not good.
Good - Bad - Ugly.....when it splits:
Good: Should be divided anyway- politicians been trying for lots of years..:C
Bad: If the world's 6th largest economy is split - who will bail out the other 49 states?..:(

Ugly: It becomes the lost continent of Kali. You grow your own produce and vegies in snow country - get your computer software from Russia..:R
