Agree Nineoaks, 21 years Navy and retired here in Florida, but next time i'm outta here, would have this time but for the wifes job. But not a problem next year cause she's retiring too. Next hurricane just looks like it may pay a visit and were hauling the 5ver anywhere else. And were leaving before traffic, fuel shortage or any thing else.
17 inch's rain, winds that scared the heck out of us, loss of electricity just ain't fun, and we weren't even in the path, but Florida just isn't wide enough. By the time it passed west of us it wasn't even a cat 1 but you could have fooled us, never again.
Our prayers to the many Floridians who lost so much and the first responders who look out for us, Thank You.
