Give me a tornado anyday over a hurricane

Can't take much more. :(

I used to think how great it was to have such advance warning for a disastrous weather event. Unlike the tornadoes that I am used.

1.Two days ago it showed it was going to run up the middle as a hurricane.

1. Then Yesterday it showed it was going to run along the east coast all the models agreeing, Whew, which would give me a reprieve with just tropical storm low winds.

1. Wake up this morning and now its running straight up the middle again and where I am at is not only listed as a hurricane status but evacuation notice. Ya, like I could evacuate now. :(

I'm from tornado land. Gimme a tornado any day! :B

No warning it just comes down and destroys everything in its path and you are either alive or not to talk about it the next day. No time for an anxiety attack with that!

None of that anxiety up and down for DAYS where it shows it's going to it, and then not, and then yes, with a hurricane.

Yup I have definitely changed my mind about having all those wonderful days of advance warning for a hurricane. It certainly is NOT all what it is cracked up to be.

It is if folks would pay attention and heed the warnings
Florida is only ~160 miles wide. IRMA is ~400 miles wide!
FL was going to get whacked no matter where if folks would only heed the warnings

Tornadoes also come with 'Tornado Watches' Tornado Warnings' 'Tornado Hunker Down'

At least with Hurricanes info is available weeks in advance..if heeded!

Between Tornados and Hurricanes......I'll take Earthquakes
No pre-anexity jitters. And when you finally accept/realize it was an earthquake it is done
