Giving back... to the National Park

The parks didn't used to stay open but now they do so that no feelings get hurt and the result is our parks get trashed, according to the story cited. I say close the parks now to prevent any further damage. It's a great idea to have volunteers help with the clean up and I hope many sign up but it would have been unnecessary had the parks closed.

I agree with you and perhaps that should be done every time this thing happens.

But reading on some of the comments from park authorities, the park were and will be able to provide the basic services with skeleton staff and volunteers on short duration shutdown where they hoped this one will be.

I find it amazing how much people are inconsiderate pigs today. It's the 'me too' thing.

I have cursed this darkness in some political forum and in Twitter.

I'm lighting a candle and do my share of lifting on this forum, lol.

I find it amazing how much people are inconsiderate pigs today. It's the 'me too' thing.

I really don't think it's an worse than it's ever been. We are just able to hear about it now.

I’ve moved to agree with az. Close our NPs to prevent more damage.

Yup, we need more of these.

I love our national parks but I do scratch my head over volunteering to clean up something the guv has decided we need to pay to enter and enjoy.
I know this will rub some the wrong way. But it is what it is
