Had a flat on a lonely W Texas highway. Nearby small town sheriff, with a prisoner in his car on his way to county jail, stops to check on us. He can't help but contacts his deputy, who also is the town mechanic, to come out. The kicker is he warns us that since it is Sunday, & his day off, his deputy may be a little drunk so be a little understanding.
Off goes the sheriff & shortly the deputy arrives to help. Yes he had one or two in him but got us on our way.
