If you are on a "schedule" you are going to have problems. The weather dictates how many miles you can do in a day. Some days, that is ZERO !
I have a friend who went to DC to see the cherry blossoms a week or so ago. Wound up spending a couple of nights at an unscheduled location because of snow and ice. She is retired, so it was not an issue.
