ON my class A I have two power converters, One Progressive Dynamics Intella-power 9180 with optional charge wizard (A better converter I have yet to discover) and a Prosine 2.0 Inverter/converter... On paper it is as good as the PDI, better with other than flooded wet cell batteries, but 1: Have Flooded wet cells, and 2: like the program on the 9180 better.
My 9180 is a plug in model
I store the shore cord next to it.
Often happens, usually long about 3am, I notice the battery voltage dropping... Say a couple words I won't post,, turn on the converter module on the prosine and all is good.
Next day I go out and plug the 9180 back in, turn off the prosine's charger and all remains good.
I won't bore you with how it got unplugged, you already know.
