The Good Sam Directory replaced Woodalls so that's your only choice.
The last one we bought was so big and bulky we hated to use it. They should make it into 2 books - east and west of the Mississippi. Plus, RVers don't need all the extra siteseeing information they include. There are better ways nowadays to get that information. It's supposed to be a campground guide, not a travelogue.
When Good Sam took it over there was a lot of pertinent campground information omitted for the parks, especially public parks.
Over the years we found the inspections not true to what the campgrounds were when we were there. I recall one had plastic shower curtains for the toilet doors, wood frame walls that didn't have a wall covering and the studs were filled with spider webs, and this park was given a '8' for bathroom category. That's just ONE of the many we found to be untrue.
We wrote letters, emailed and never received a reply back. The next issue had the same ratings. I sometime wonder if the 'inspectors' have been on the job too long and have become friends with the campground owners thus, not accurate ratings.
We find RV Park Reviews site to be much better as many types of people give their reviews. Even though you have to weed through them to get a 'somewhat accurate' idea, we found them more reliable.
I feel Good Sam's requires a big overhaul.
