If an online rep can correct the problem, it doesn't resolve thae fact that it should NEVER have happened to begin with. Over 90% of consumers would probably just live with the increase, especially the elderly. I had AAA REFUSE TO RENEW for too many accidents, when they never paid out a penny in claims and I had no moving violations in the prior 10 years. Found a new insurer and never looked back.
