- Bama_bluejayExplorerThanks, just what I wanted to hear. While dumping some junk mail, noticed an offer from Good Sam. Really good offer for 1st year. You helped me make a decision. Thanks again
- john_betExplorer IIWe had to use ours last Oct. in Montana 25 miles out of Glendive. It took a rollback for truck and another truck for our 5th. All at no out of pocket.

Last December,I had a motorist wave me to the side of the road to inform me I had a problem (don't you hate it when that happens?) Anyway my rubber roof had come loose at the front edge and was beginning to billow and peal back.
I called GS Assistance and ask for nearest RV repair facility. I was directed to a repair facility just 6 miles away from my location all in 5 minutes.
Yes it's worth $100/year.
So - what did the repair facility do for your roof - and how much $$?
Back on topic - everybody should have an ERS.
The "brand" is in the eyes of the beholder - equal number of fans of and for each service.
The names are not indicative of the real provider - almost all are underwritten by the two or three major ERS agencies. (Parent Companies - inc'l providers for GS & CN).
Also - the contract tow operator/s may contract with several ERS "Motor Clubs" - which means,
no matter which ERS you have, you may end up with the same tow operator for a tow or roadside assistance.
Good..:) - or poor..:( - service may have *NOTHING* to do with which ERS you have, and everything to do with the contracting tow operator..:W
Personally, I prefer US Rider over GS or CN.
They deal with live loads (which the others won't), but no "hay-burners" required - & covers all your vehicles.
If you ride motorcycles - the AMA will cover all of the same (including trailers) along with your annual membership (about $50).
Towing is limited to 35 miles.
The underwriter for that one is Road America.
YMMV - and....Happy ERS-ing!..:)
~ - BarneySExplorer IIIThey saved my bacon a couple of years ago when I accidentally put gasoline in my diesel tank. :o I called, and about 30 minutes later my truck was on a flatbed and taken about 30 miles to the nearest place that could work on my truck.
I didn't have to pay a cent and didn't even have to sign anything. Only cost to me was the repair bill and two tanks of fuel.:E I wouldn't leave home without it.

Yes it's worth $100/year. - wingsfan20ExplorerHave had several times where they save me. It is truly worth it.
- kalynzooExplorerWhen your stuck on the roadside with a damaged tire, or if your about to leave the campsite and the jacks don't work or the engine won't start...then it is worth it. If you know what to do, and can do it, maybe not. But for me, some type of ERS is a necessity. AAA let me down in the past. CoachNet was a bad experience a few summers ago. Now I have GoodSam. Called then once, the response was OK. So I'll keep them...for now.
- HappyKayakersExplorerTry looking in this forum.
- tstrykExplorerAbsolutely. One tow and it pays for itself for a few years. Even one tire change and it has paid for itself.
- NC_HaulerExplorerIt'll run you $99 to $109 a year, (depending on what deal they give you). Is it worth it? I think it is. Good Sams or Coach Net, either one could come in handy sometime. For no more than it cost, it will give one a little "peace of mind". I've had GS and Coach Net both for about the last 14 yrs and to me, it was well worth it.
