Shredded my my rear truck tire on while pulling my 5th wheel on the 210 within eyesight of the 215 freeway.I told the dispatcher at Good Sam I was towing a heavy 5th and that the spare was probably low as I hadn't checked it in years.(I know)! Anyway they said NO longer then 45 minutes. I was not in booneysville. At 45 minutes the tow truck driver called and said he would be another 30 minutes!
Finally Quintero towing shows up in an old Toyota pickup with a hand jack that was incapable of picking up my truck rear with the trailer attached. I helped with my Bigfoot jacks, but he wanted me to also pick up the truck which I wouldn't do.
After replacing the tire I asked him what the tire pressure was in the spare. He assured me it was 80psi.I told him I didn't believe it, the spare hadn't been checked in over 3 years. He said again it had 80 psi. I told him I wanted to see for myself. He now claimed he didn't have a gauge! My gauge revealed 50 psi. Twice I asked and twice he LIED potentially putting my wife and me in hazardous conditions. I asked him to fill the tire and he first refused and said he would follow me to a gas station. He finally said he couldn't do it without calling in. He had a small portable compressor like you would have in a trunk. 10 minutes later when he was done he had the nerve to ask me for a tip.... I don't think so!
I called and complained to GS the next day and they said they would call back but its been a week now and haven't heard anything! Not holding my breath! :-P
