They have towed a motorhome form Alaska to a facility in the lower 48, and from Newfoundland, Canada to the Cummins facitity in Quebec City, Canada. Now they have not done that for me, but they have gone above and beyond their contract requirement in one incident.
Was just looking at Coach-Net's comparison guide. Over all looks basically the same as GSRA, with the exception that GSRA has the Platinum + that will tow up to 100 miles to a place of your choosing. Coach-Net's top plans doesn't mention that. They still say unlimited towing to the nearest qualified repair facility. Which will be what they determine as qualified.
This is true, they will tow OVER 100 miles if need be, no charge.....As this poster stated, they also went WAY above and beyond for me also in the specific example I described in detail in my earlier post.
Heck, call either's toll free number and get the information "straight from the horse's mouth", so to speak....
Y'all aren't comprehending my post. I'm talking about GSRA platinum + states 100 miles no matter where. Coachnet does not state that on their comparison guide. It says on their top tier plan "to the closest qualified repair facility". Closest and what they deem as qualified. GSRA platinum + will allow you to chose on your own to who YOU want to tow it to within 100 miles.
You can not make a rational point with someone that doesn’t want to be rational and says as much… and that is NCs point… because he got service that went above and beyond this time he’s happy… nothing else matters… his over and above experience trumps all else…
We don’t know if CN approved and paid for this, the tow guy wrote something coverable on his bill to be paid by CN, the tow guy just did it on his own to help NC out, or even if the tow guy had permission from his boss to go ahead… still the results were over and above and trumps all else… end of story
And it is true NC did get more than he paid for… and I have no problem with that, I am happy for him… its just not a guarantee that anyone or everyone else would…
Just a week or so ago another someone was happy because a relative traveling to his home broke down a few miles before arriving… the relative didn’t have any ERS so that OP that had CN drove to the breakdown and then called for service because he the OP was there got the tow service the relative needed… OP praised CN for helping his relative out no questioned asked… when in actually it was theft of services since the OP wasn’t traveling with the relative at the time of the break down… but he was happy just the same and considered that a plus for CN…
Yes these guys are happy… I get that first hand… when GS went above and beyond for me I too was e-static… and when CN left me to fend for myself I was livid until they pointed out they had no obligation to pull me out of my muddy camp site because I was not experiencing a mechanical breakdown which would have been a covered event… but I soon realized they were right, and I wrongly assumed they would pull me out, it was then I realized the service I had switched from not only would have pulled me out but would have been required to…
I learned no matter how much the same they seem to be, are reported to be, that they are NOT THE SAME…
We now have links thanks to pnichols, and Dutch_12078, to the CN plan agreements, so anyone interested in making informed purchases can see the differences first and then decide if they choose to do so…
It is still unconscionable that NMC/ dab/ Coach Net don’t realize the importance of being up front about this… including a link to the actual agreement where it should be in their website…
Dutch thank you… another place that should be first on your list… the state of Wisconsin…
